About DJ Helen.
Helen comes from a long line of entertainment professionals. Her grandfather, father and two brothers were or are all DJ’s. Helen studied Performing Arts at Middlesex University in the UK and has always worked with music in the entertainment industry.
Helen took an active interest in becoming a DJ when her father did a disco for her 4th birthday; she controlled the playlist and stole the microphone to thank everyone for coming!
Helen has worked as a professional DJ since 2000 and has entertained at literally hundreds of events in the UK and Australia. Since 2011, Helen’s work has predominantly been in Brisbane & on the Gold Coast, where she has worked at over 100 venues and counting!
Helen is a real people person and loves a chat. Her warm and consultative approach to each event ensures success and puts her clients at ease from the very first meeting to the very last song.

We danced and partied to Helen’s set until 1am and would have gone for longer if permitted! Helen played music that got everyone on their feet from the youngies right through to the grandparents. Helen made us feel so comfortable that by the time our wedding rolled around it felt like she was a guest at our wedding who just decided to get up and play some tunes, rather than a vendor. Helen is so talented, fun and knew exactly how to read the crowd, playing music which encouraged everyone to dance, there was never an empty dance floor for the entire reception! My music requests were also fulfilled without issue in terms of our first dance and the timing of the music etc.
